The 03 is the iconic bent apple, which has an almost cult appeal among the online smoking communities. Not an overly large pipe, in fact one of the smaller ones in the Peterson repertoire. This pipe looks sublime in the classic Peterson Walnut stain and the sterling silver spigot mount. When Peterson first start processing their briar it is graded, all flaws and grain pattern determine the ranges of pipe they will be used for. Most are only suitable for the standard lines (Aran, Rock of Cashel etc), while the stunning grains and least flawed briar is used for the high grades. This glossy, walnut billiard is from the latter, beautiful cross grained briar. The classic walnut stain really makes the grain stand out and has darker brown contrasts. Fitted with the hand crafted Silver Spigot mount, made by Petersons head silversmith David Blake. Unlike many other Petersons, this pipe makes use of the classic Fishtail bit, ideal for those who dont enjoy the PLip.
