The Heleconia from MacQueen offers a ¾ bent, with a slight taller bowl compared to others similar. A poker style bowl, sports an egg shape to the base of the bowl and has a curved stem meeting at a slight angle. Made from briar and given a light brown stain, which is then matched on the maple stem. 

Unlike cheaper models in the MacQueen range, we opted to have this pipes bowl made from briar. Giving a more durable pipe and traditional feel and taste.

About MacQueen Pipes

The Churchwarden or Liseuse (Reading) pipe has been popular for years. Favoured by those who like to sit and enjoy a pipe while reading, as the smoke bowl can be kept behind the book and prevent to much smoke getting into your eyes. With the popularity of Fantasy films and fiction has seen many looking for pipes with a middle earth feel.  

The MacQueen pipes are hand made in Canada with a very fantasy look and feel to them. Made from a range of materials, the bowls are made from either Ash, Cherry or Briar and the stems are also made from Maple. The bowls are cut the conventional way by drilling and shaping but it’s the stems where the unique aspect of these comes into force. The Maple is hand shaped and carefully drilled, resulting a stunning hand crafted pipe.
