The 77 “Classic Taste” offers a classic Danish blend of Virginia, Burley and black Cavendish. Unlike most Danish aromatics this blend is not overly gloopy or sticky and smells divine from the tin. The use of just Raisin for the casing compliments the naturally sweet and nutty nature of the base tobaccos. A great change of pace from the usual Danish/American styled aromatics  

Poul Ilsted is one of Denmarks finest pipe makers, his passion for briar and leaf started at around 14 years old. As soon as he left school he went to work with the Iconic Erik NØrding, back then Erik had 7 employees and Poul soon began dreaming of branching out on his own. To this day Ilsted pipes are highly prized among collectors and connoisseurs alike.

As with all those that make pipes, the biggest thrill is smoking them and what better than your own blends. Working with the master blenders at Kohlhase & Kopp, one of Europes most prestigious blending houses. These high quality blends were created with Poul and hand blended using only the finest leaves and natural casing/toppings.
