The XL17 is better known as the Watson from the Sherlock Homes collection. This large bent has a rim which would be at home on any bulldog/Rhodesian. If you are looking for a big, full bent pipe then this is perfect for you. The Ashford series was released in late 2013 and sits alongside the beautiful Harp collection. Unlike its cousin, these Ashford pipes offer a silver army mount and cumblerand mouthpieces. The use of the dark chocolate stain creates a wonderful dark and refined looking pipe, which the silver works just tops off. Like other pipes in this mid graded range, these pipes are cut from briar which is selected for its grain and little or no flaws.
